Membership in the RPSS
We invite you to become acquainted with the Ryukyu Philatelic Specialist Society and the many benefits it offers you. Follow the links below to more information on the Society and membership. Once you decide to join, a convenient membership form is provided for you to complete, print out and submit by mail. The Ryukyu Philatelic Specialist Society, Ltd. (RPSS) has as its objectives promoting an interest in the philately of the Ryukyu Islands and encouraging friendly cooperation among philatelists of all nations.

Information:
The Society was founded in 1969 by an international group of specialist to promote serious study of the philately and postal history of
the Ryukyu Islands (under United States Administration). Currently members reside throughout the world.
The RPSS was incorporated as a non-profit educational and literary organization in the State of Hawaii. It has no paid employees. It
is Affiliate number 47 of the American Philatelic Society. The principal activity of the Society is the dissemination of philatelic
information through its research journal, From the Dragon's Den. It also publishes, as funds are available, monographic studies and
specialized catalogues.

Dues:
The initiation fee for new members is $5.00. Annual dues are $15.00 ($18.00 for foreign addresses), and $25.00 for sustaining
members, foreign or domestic. All fees and dues are payable in U.S. Currency only. Payment must be in a United States dollar check
or money order that is payable by a bank that is physically located in the United States. The check or money order must have a U.S.
Bank routing code number on it.
Membership is on a calendar year basis. New members will receive all the issues of the normal Society publications for the year in
which they join, regardless of when they join.
Completed membership applications and payment should be sent to the Secretary. The Secretary will provide additional information
and membership applications if requested.
